Conflict: it has us surrounded. Unfortunately, the church is mirroring what we see taking place in cities, nation, and globe. From the very first family to the disciples vying for power to Paul and Barnabas parting ways, the skill necessary to navigate the varied and many forms of conflict seems to be needed now more than ever.

This workshop will lay the foundation of some biblical texts and theological concepts that are seldom utilized for addressing conflict.

Conflict will happen… however there are ways to avoid some and minimize the devastating results the church has experienced throughout history. The workshop will share some best practices for churches and leaders to navigate conflict proactively.

Rev. Dr. Clint Mix, our facilitator for this event, serves with our Western Canadian District as the Director of Field Engagement (South). Clint received his doctorate from Tyndale Seminary in the area of church transformation through communal discernment. He currently is a sessional lecturer on conflict at Tyndale and Ambrose seminaries. In his denominational roles Clint has mediated conflict with hundreds of churches and occasionally does work with Christian Mediation Canada.
